Argentine keen on Premier League move

Renato Civelli hopes to play in a bigger league after announcing that he will leave Marseille this summer. The Argentine defender's contract has expired following the end of the season and there has been plenty of conjecture about whether he would stay with Marseille. He has now declared that he will be embarking on a new challenge, although he is only keen to test himself at the highest level. The 25-year-old insists there is no truth in rumours linking him with Belgian side Anderlecht. He would prefer to head to either England or Spain, and is understood to be a transfer target for Blackburn, Aston Villa and Sunderland. "I wanted to stay at Marseille but it will not happen," Civelli told Belgian newspaper La Derniere Heure. "I am at the end of my contract so I will choose a new destination. "People are talking about me in the Belgian league with Anderlecht. I will not go there as I am hoping for a bigger league. "I am talking about either the Spanish or English league."
