Magpies winger loving life on Tyneside

Peter Lovenkrands is delighted to be playing regularly again following his move to Newcastle. The Danish winger, who was released by German outfit Schalke in January, has penned a deal with the Magpies that is set to run until the end of the season. He has made a positive start to life at St James' Park and grabbed his first goal for the club in Saturday's 3-2 victory over West Brom. Having previously enjoyed a productive spell in Scotland with Rangers, Lovenkrands admits he is relishing being back in Britain - especially as he appears to have already found some consistency. "It is fantastic to be playing football again and I have got my enjoyment back," he told Onside.dk. "I got to play 90 minutes (at The Hawthorns) and on top of that, I scored. It's great to be playing again. "The start at Newcastle has been fantastic. But it is also the lifestyle, it's nice to be back in the UK."

Ambitious

Meanwhile, Newcastle have completed the signing of Swedish starlet Samuel Adjei. The 17-year-old joins from Jonoping Sodra after impressing during a recent trial period at the club. "I hope to be in the senior squad inside two years," the ambitious youngster told Fotbollssverige.se. "Then I hope to play for Barcelona in the future, as they are my favourite team, and the national side as well."
