Saunders bolsters Wrexham squad with promising youngsters

Wrexham have completed the loan signings of Liverpool midfielder Ryan Flynn and Manchester City's Sam Williamson. The pair are eligible to play in Wrexham's next 10 games after joining before Thursday's 5pm deadline. Flynn, who has joined until 3rd January, says Dragons boss Dean Saunders was a major reason to join the Blue Square Premier Club. He told Wrexham's official website: "I know the manager has been keen on me for sometime and that's a big plus.

Great opportunity

"This is a great opportunity for me and one I'm really looking forward to." The 20-year-old has yet to make his senior competitive debut for Liverpool but is highly-regarded within the corridors of Anfield. He is a regular in the Liverpool reserves after coming through the club's academy and helping them win the FA Youth Cup in successive seasons in 2006 and 2007. City defender Sam Williamson has also moved until January, becoming the club's second player to join the Dragons after midfielder Angelos Tsiaklis made the temporary switch at the end of October, although Tsiaklis's current loan spell expires after this weekend. Williamson, 21, has made just one Premier League appearance for the Blues as a second half replacement for Richard Dunne in City's 3-1 victory over Portsmouth.
