Former Arsenal trialist keen to move to Europe
Congo striker Tresor Mputu has declared his intention to sign for a European club in the near future.
Mputu is highly-rated in Africa after a number of prolific seasons for his club, TP Mazembe.
The 22-year-old underwent a trial with Premier League side Arsenal in November 2007 and impressed manager Arsene Wenger.
A move, however, has so far failed to materialise, and Mputu has reiterated his desire to seek a transfer to Europe.
He told skysports.com: "I went for a trial with Arsenal. I loved it there. I am waiting, however I cannot wait all the time.
"I want to play in the UEFA Champions League, show my skills and my goalscoring ability. I want to move. My club president is ready to let me go."
