Wagenaar happy to join after impressing on trial

Yeovil Town have completed the signing of Canadian goalkeeper Josh Wagenaar on a one-year contract. Wagenaar has been training with Yeovil in recent weeks, having previously been on trial at League One rivals Leeds United. The keeper, who has one cap for Canada, has impressed sufficiently to earn a contract from Glovers boss Russell Slade. He is happy with the opportunity to play for Yeovil and plans to press Asmir Begovic for the No.1 spot at Huish Park. "I am really looking forward to the start of the season and getting stuck in," Wagenaar told the club's official website. "Obviously, I want to be the No.1 here, but so does Asmir, so we are going to be battling on the pitch, but off it we will remain good friends, as we have known each other for a long time."
