Koehler inks two-year deal, Spycher wants extension

Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Benjamin Kohler has penned a new two-year contract extension. The 27-year-old, who scored his second goal of the season in Wednesday's 3-1 home loss to Bayern Munich, has been rewarded for consistent performances this season with a new deal keeping him at the Commerzbank Arena until 2011. Kohler joined Frankfurt from Rot-Weiss Essen in 2004 and has made 105 league appearances for the club. Meanwhile Switzerland international defender Christoph Spycher has revealed he would like to stay at Frankfurt, but is unhappy at only being offered a two-year deal by the club: "I expect we will make progress in the next few days. I certainly don't intend to poker until the end of June," Spycher told Kicker.
