Midfielder positive he will eventually return to football

Deportivo La Coruna's Juan Carlos Valeron is certain that his playing days are not over, despite being absent from football with knee trouble for almost 18 months. The 32-year-old has been blighted by injury having suffered two cruciate ligament injuries, and underwent a third operation on his injured knee in April. But the attacking midfielder can now see light at the end of the tunnel, and while he could not provide a date for his return to football, he expressed his delight with the way his rehabilitation is progressing. "The recuperation has been perfect, and that is the best news for me at the moment," Valeron said. "It is still not possible to give a date for my return to first-team action, but I am totally convinced that I will return to football."
