Goalkeeper Juan Calatayud has departed Malaga and signed with Primera outfit Racing Santander.
The custodian spent last season on loan at Getafe but was not offered a permanent switch.
He subsequently returned to Malaga, who were relegated last term, but informed them that he wanted to leave to continue his career in the top-flight.
Malaga agreed to annul his contract and he has now agreed a deal with Racing where he will help fill the void left by Dudu Awat's move to Deportivo La Coruna.
"He came to my office to tell me he wanted to leave because he wasn't happy," explained Malaga president Fernando Sanz. "Those who are not happy can leave if the conditions are right."
Calatayud had two years left on his deal at Malaga, but has now inked a three-year contract with Racing.
