Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti believes that his side has enough quality without adding Ronaldinho to the squad.
Speculation continues to link the Barcelona star with a move away from Camp Nou, with Milan said to be the player's preferred destination.
Ancelotti already has three Brazilian forwards who are more than capable of winning a match on their own in the form of Ronaldo, Kaka and Alexandre Pato and the Italian sees no need to add even more flair to the side.
Potential
"No, Ronaldinho will not be joining us," he told Rai.
"The club has invested heavily in this young boy (Pato) of great potential.
"We're also hoping Ronaldo will get fully fit again. Right now physically he's not even at 50 per cent, but such is his immense talent that he manages to overcome that handicap."
Rotation
Milan can also call on the striking prowess of Italian internationals Filippo Inzaghi and Alberto Gilardinho meaning that Milan have arguably the strongest attacking options in Europe, something which pleases Ancelotti.
"It's the kind of squad that all big teams have," he said.
"For the whole month of January we'll play practically every three days. Hence, it's important to rotate the players.
"It's not important how many games we play, simply the quality. We can't always expect Ronaldo to play.
"Gilardinho has the right age, he's fresh and he'll be important in the coming games."
Zambrotta link
One player who may be on his way to the San Siro from Barcelona in the summer is Gianluca Zambrotta.
The Italian international defender moved to Catalonia from Juventus in 2006, but has found his first-team opportunities limited this season and is keen on a return to his homeland.
Milan president Silvio Berlusconi has confirmed that the club are interested in Zambrotta and that he expects the player to join.
"I am confident that Zambrotta will arrive," he said.
"He wants to come to Milan and we won't have any difficulties in reaching an agreement with Barcelona."
