Stevenage have completed the double signing of Charlie Lee and Chris Beardsley.
Lee, 27, equally comfortable in midfield and defence, was released by Gillingham at the end of last season, while striker Beardsley has returned to Stevenage following his departure from Preston. Lee made 97 appearances in three seasons for Gillingham after spending four years at Peterborough. Beardsley made 117 appearances for Stevenage between 2009 and 2012, scoring 22 goals, before moving on to Preston. He had a spell on loan at Bristol Rovers last season.
