Nancy's revival continued with a narrow 1-0 win at home to relegation rivals Troyes. Substitute Romain Grange scored the second-half winner seven minutes after coming on to lift the hosts to within a point of safety. It was their third straight league win and the fourth in five, indicating the momentum is firmly with Nancy in the fight for survival. The same cannot be said of bottom side Troyes, though, who sit five points further back. Troyes made early inroads, but, after cutting in from the left, Jean-Christophe Bahebeck's shot was kept out by Damien Gregorini. The hosts' goalkeeper turned provider soon after, though, releasing Paul Alo'o, who burst in between two defenders before dragging a shot just wide of Yohann Thuram-Ulien's post. Nancy continued to press and felt they should have had a penalty after 20 minutes when Thomas Mangani went down under a Florian Jarjat challenge, but referee Sebastian Moreira waved away the claims. Instead, Troyes countered and Benjamin Nivet linked up well with Fabien Camus, but the latter could only volley into the side-netting of Gregorini's goal. Gregorini's distribution was proving to be a useful source of attacks for the hosts and he set another move rolling which saw his counterpart Thuram palming away a Lossemy Karaboue effort. Alo'o's volley was then superbly saved by Thuram in first-half injury time, but neither side could manage a breakthrough before the interval. Troyes nearly opened the scoring straight after the break when a hesitant Nancy defence gifted Fabien Camus a chance, but he blasted wide from an encouraging position. Both sides were being wasteful in front of goal and Nancy's Benjamin Moukandjo headed a Djamel Bakar free-kick wide from an excellent position. The hosts finally broke through in the 67th minute thanks to substitute Grange, who curled a free-kick over the wall and beyond Thuram. Nancy almost doubled their lead late on, but Moukandjo's volley on the turn was pushed away by Thuram as a Troyes fightback never materialised.
