Morecambe v Cheltenham preview

Image: Parrish: Serving one-match ban

Team news ahead of Friday's League Two clash between Morecambe and Cheltenham at Adams Park.

Morecambe will be without defender Andy Parrish. Parrish received his marching orders for two yellow cards in last weekend's 2-1 defeat at Plymouth and must serve a one-match ban. Fellow defender Andrew Wright will complete a two-match suspension having collected 10 yellow cards this season. Boss Jim Bentley has no injury worries with the exception of long-term victim Danny Carlton (knee). Ryan Williams is pushing for a start in midfield having marked his debut with a goal from the bench to set up a grandstand finish at Home Park. Shrimps goalkeeper Barry Roche paid lofty tribute to Williams' strike in his column for the Morecambe Visitor. Roche said: "The way he strikes the ball is very similar to one Cristiano Ronaldo, and the dip and swerve he got on his strike was brilliant." Cheltenham will be without young defender Harry Hooman. The 21-year-old has undergone surgery on a damaged bone in his foot and a ligament at the base of a toe which is set to rule the former Shrewsbury man out for up for 12 weeks. His absence leaves Mark Yates with just three recognised centre-backs in Alan Bennett, Steve Elliott and Keith Lowe but Hooman is the manager's only absentee as they look to move into the automatic promotion spots. "Morecambe have a good home record," Yates told the club's official website. "They make it a tough place to go to and it will be cold and could be windy or even be snowing and we've got to deal with it." Meanwhile, Yates has confirmed that Swindon striker Paul Benson will not be coming to Whaddon Road.
