      Germans stage stunning fightback

Wolfsburg claimed an unlikely Uefa Cup victory over Braga on Thursday as they came from behind to seal a 3-2 success. The German outfit had twice trailed in the contest before staging a dramatic fightback to snatch all three points. The visitors had fallen behind in Portugal after just six minutes, with Braga forward Albert Ze Meyong seeing his header take a wicked deflection off Andrea Barzagli on its way into the net. However, Wolfsburg struck back on 24 minutes when Eduardo failed to hold a Ashkan Dejagah cross and Edin Dzeko was on hand to prod home. Braga, though, got their noses back in front four minutes into the second half when Ze Meyong made up for seeing his earlier effort go down as an own goal. That appeared to have put the Portuguese side on their way to maximum points, only for that lead to be wiped out in the space of seven frenetic minutes. Firstly, Dzeko was felled in the box by Alberto Rodriguez and Zvjezdan Misimovic made no mistake from the spot. Then, deep into stoppage time, the Bosnian midfielder grabbed his second of the game to keep Wolfsburg in the hunt for a spot in the knockout stages of the competition. They now sit second in the table behind AC Milan, having taken maximum points from their two games so far, while Braga remain third and appear to have seen any hopes they had of progressing slip through their grasp.
