Forward clinches victory for the Shots
Marvin Morgan bundled in the late winner to give Aldershot the points in a 1-0 victory at Chester.
The game looked to have been heading for a goalless draw until the striker poked the ball home from a goalmouth scramble on 83 minutes, after his initial effort had been partially cleared by the Chester defence.
Aldershot could claim to have deserved all three points having struck the woodwork twice.
First, John Grant's powerfully struck shot from outside the box cannoned back off the woodwork after 26 minutes.
And 10 minutes later, Louie Soares struck a right-foot shot against a post, with keeper John Danby nowhere near the effort.
Chester's best chance came the way of Kevin Roberts, who headed wide early in the second-half after being left unmarked at the far post with just the keeper to beat.
