King: Late winner
Watford staged a late comeback to beat Wolves 2-1 and mark their return to the Championship with a win.
A 45th minute Seyi George Olofinjana strike seemed to have won it for Wolves, but first Jordon Stewart and then Marlon King popped up with late goals to hand the Hornets a dramatic victory.
Watford believed they had an early claim for a penalty when Olofinjana appeared to have hauled down Gavin Mahon at a corner, but the shout went unanswered.
Both sides then appeared content to play the game at a tentative pace and neither were seemingly keen to try and play a passing game.
However, Watford cannot claim they were not warned about the threat of Olofinjana as the Nigerian midfielder went agonisingly close prior to giving his side the lead.
On 43 minutes Olofinjana broke forward and linked up with the impressive Andy Keogh before he volleyed over from just inside Watford's penalty area.
Then on the stroke of half-time Olofinjana atoned for his miss as he blasted Wolves into the lead after latching onto a perfect Stephen Elliott through ball.
Watford came out after half-time intent on trying to grab an equaliser and they continued to turn the screw, but were guilty of a number of wasted opportunities.
However, on 83 minutes Stewart struck a 30-yard dead ball, which collected a slight deflection off Jay Bothroyd in the Wolves wall, into the top corner.
Then in injury time Wolves defender Neill Collins brought down Steven Kabba in the area and King calmly dispatched the penalty to secure the points.
