Howard inspires Hatters

Luton won for the first time in five matches when Steve Howard set The Hatters on the way to a 3-0 win over struggling Brighton.

Howard profited from Kevin Nicholls' cross in the 17th minute to bundle home from close range before Warren Feeney doubled the lead on the stroke of half time.

Brighton's embarrassment was complete when Steve Robinson's shot looped over Michel Kuipers and into the back of the net.

The scoreline did little to flatter Mike Newell's side who could have added to their tally while the only worthwhile effort from the visitors came in the 70th minute through the boot of Sebastian Carole.
