Leeds stun Saints

Leeds United produced an amazing second half comeback to come from three goals behind to beat Southampton 4-3 at St Mary's.
Marian Pahars (27) and two Nigel Quashie goals (35, pen 45) looked to have given The Saints all three points. However, Paul Butler (71), Robbie Blake (77), David Healy (pen 84) and Liam Miller (86) silenced the home crowd.
Southampton's forgotten man Pahars poked home the opener from close range to give them a deserved lead on 27 minutes. Quashie's corner was not cleared properly and from Michael Svensson's looping header the Latvian pounced.
16-year-old Theo Walcott caused the Leeds defence no end of difficulty all day, and his surging run in the 35th minute set up the second goal. He went past Dan Harding and slid the ball beautifully to Quashie who stroked the ball home.
Southampton were then awarded a penalty just before half time, with Harding once again involved for the wrong reasons. He handled inside the area and Quashie dispatched from the spot.
Saints greatly impressed with their first 45 minutes but a series of changes upset their rhythm. Pahars failed to even make it to the interval, and Dennis Wise and Claus Lundekvam did not return for the second half.
However, they pushed for a fourth straight after the restart, with Neil Sullivan superbly denying Brett Ormerod and then turning away Walcott's low shot.
The turning point for Leeds came with the introduction of Healy who was not fit to start the match.
The Yorkshire club saw a glimmer of hope when Butler headed the ball home from a Gary Kelly corner.
Healy was then instrumental in their second when he squared the ball for Blake to sweep past Antti Niemi.
The Northern Irishman then pulled Leeds level, his ball into the box was handled by Danny Higginbotham, and he blasted in the resultant spot kick.
Southampton's cool first half performance was in tatters and Leeds exploited their disarray with the winning goal. Rob Hulse ran down the right and pulled it back for loan signing Miller to complete a sensational fightback.
