Parkin makes Leeds pay

Sam Parkin netted a brace as Ipswich Town stunned Leeds United at Elland Road 2-0.
The Whites entered the contest full of confidence but were undone by a pair of fine goals by former Swindon striker Parkin.
Following a bout of Leeds pressure, Ipswich broke away down the right and Dean Bowditch's cross left Parkin with the simple task of heading the visitors in front.
The home side should have been level at the break, but Carling Cup hero Richard Cresswell fluffed his lines from the penalty spot after Shaun Derry was felled in the area.
Kevin Blackwell's side came out all guns blazing after the interval but striker Cresswell and Rob Hulse were unable to find a way past the impressive Lewis Price.
Eventually Leeds were made to pay for their inability to score with Parkin bagging his second and securing the points with a cool right-footed finish from 12-yards out.
