Leeds United, inspired by man of the moment David Healy, rallied to claim a 3-3 draw at home to Brighton & Hove Albion.

Healy scored twice at Elland Road, after Leon Knight and Sebastien Carole had put Brighton in command.

Sean Gregan's own goal appeared to hand the points back to Brighton before Jonathan Douglas struck a late equaliser.

Northern Ireland ace Healy, who sunk England in midweek, was thwarted three times in the first 10 minutes by Wayne Henderson, along with Eddie Lewis and Rob Hulse, who hit the post.

Brighton weathered the storm and took the lead on 28 minutes when Richard Carpenter's cross was nudged home by Knight.

The visitors then saw Dean Hammond head against the crossbar before Carole did score on 51 minutes when he unleashed a thumping drive.

The Whites were back in the match on 65 minutes when Douglas, on loan from Blackburn, flung in a cross for Healy to score from close range.

Healy netted again just five minutes later via a clinical finish before Gregan turned the ball past his own keeper on 74 minutes.

Leeds were not to be denied and snared a point in injury time when Douglas pounced on the rebound after Henderson had stopped Healy's shot.
