Leicester came from two goals down to earn a 2-2 draw at Crewe.

Crewe looked good for the three points after going 2-0 up through Luke Varney and Mark Rivers, but Leicester fought back to level courtesy of goals from Danny Tiatto and Joey Gudjonsson.

Crewe made a dream start with Varney hooking the ball from close-range in the very first minute.

The home side doubled their lead on 17 minutes when David Vaughan played Rivers in on goal and he rounded Rab Douglas before slipping the ball into the unguarded net.

Dion Dublin came close to pulling a goal back when he saw his header cleared off the line by Darren Moss.

Leicester reduced the arrears right on the stroke of half time when Tiatto smashed home an unstoppable shot from 25 yards out.

The visitors drew level five minutes after the break when Gudjonsson netted from the penalty spot after being felled himself by Vaughan.

Crewe were unlucky not to restore their lead soon after when Rivers headed Kenny Lunt's cross against the woodwork.

Leicester almost stole the win in the closing minutes when Elvis Hammond saw his shot hit the post.
