West Ham will feel it is two points dropped rather than one gained following their 2-2 draw at Brighton.

The Hammers moved sixth in the table, but could have made Reading pay a higher price for their loss at Cardiff City.

Things began well for Alan Pardew's side with Nigel Reo-Coker heading the visitors ahead in their first attack.

Brighton capitalised on West Ham's slow start to the second half with Dean Hammond heading in Gary Hart's cross.

However, the visitors responded with Marlon Harewood chipping Alan Blayney for a swift response.

With West Ham minutes from securing a priceless win Hammond bagged his second of the game to snatch a share of the spoils.
