West Ham kept up the pressure on the club's around them in The Championship with a 3-0 over Coventry.

The Hammers are scrapping for a place in the play-offs and their superior play eventually told as a trio of late goals killed off The Sky Blues.

Teddy Sheringham is at the heart of West Ham's revival and he set up a great chance for Mark Noble on the half hour, but his flick dribbled wide of the left post.

The Sky Blues could have gone in front at the interval, but James Walker made a point-blank save to deny Gary McSheffrey.

Robert Page was denied by Walker after the interval, before West Ham took control.

Marlon Harewood, Elliott Ward, Shaun Newton and Noble wasted good chances before Richard Shaw unfortunately headed into his own net to hand The Hammers the advantage.

West Ham sealed the victory late on, as Sheringham netted a penalty at the second attempt and Bobby Zamora headed a late third.
