Vital win for Gills

Gillingham put daylight between themselves and the relegation places with a 1-0 win over Burnley.
The Gills had looked certainties for the drop earlier in the season but Stan Ternent has revived their fortunes and Darius Henderson's goal on 56 minutes handed the Priestfield Stadium outfit's chief a sweet win over his former club.
Gillingham started brightly and Chris Hope saw his stinging effort pushed away by Brian Jensen, while the keeper made another good save from Henderson shortly afterwards.
Aside from a Graham Branch effort which flew over, Burnley were rarely seen as an attacking force as Gary Cahill did well to clear a Hope effort off the line.
Mamady Sidibe missed a simple chance to open the scoring, but his blushes were saved by Henderson who curled a fine shot beyond Jensen and into the top corner and The Gills held firm to secure a priceless win.
