Two late goals from Gifton Noel-Williams brought Stoke level before his second sent them to defeat against Rotherham.

The striker equalised after 83 minutes, but his injury-time own goal gave Rotherham a 2-1 win at The Britannia.

Martin Butler kept up his impressive record against Stoke and his fourth in three games against the side gave the visitors the lead.

Butler connected with John Mullin's corner to head the ball past former Everton keeper Steve Simonsen.

The home side, who still retained hopes of a play-off spot, were out of sorts but managed to draw level late on.

Noel-Williams was on hand to head home from just six yards with just seven minutes of the game remaining.

Stoke then found themselves a man light when former Leeds defender Michael Duberry saw red for collecting his second yellow card.

Noel-Williams' status went from hero to villain when Simonsen parried Jamal Campbell-Ryce's effort onto the striker and into the net.

The win ensures The Millers retain a chance of staying in The Championship, but realistically it is too little too late.
