Wolves kept up their play-off hopes with a 2-0 win against Burnley at Molineux.

Steve Cotterill's Clarets stuck to their normal organised approach, but goals from Kenny Miller and skipper Paul Ince ensured it was the hosts that took the points, before John McGreal was sent off late on.

Brian Jensen had continued his good form with an early full length save to deny Ince from a free-kick, with Gary Cahill clearing off the line from the resultant corner after Jody Craddock got a header in.

Carl Cort should have done better when Lee Naylor created a shooting opportunity for the former Newcastle man but could not beat Jensen - before Miller finally broke the deadlock.

The Scotland international held off his marker when he was picked out by Ince's free-kick and fired home past Jensen.

Burnley started the second half strongly but after Peter Whittingham and Dean Bowditch had chances Ince ended hopes of a Claret revival.

The former England man dropped a shoulder before firing home superbly to cap a fine performance.

McGreal and Ince were both booked for a coming together and the former received his marching orders late on when he hauled down Naylor when through on goal.
