Geosges Santos netted a last-minute winner for Queens Park Rangers at Coventry.

The Sky Blues installed a new manager in Micky Adams on Friday, but he witnessed his side slip to a home defeat and will now be aware of the task at hand.

Jamie Cureton had QPR ahead early on, but the game looked like heading for a draw when Adrian Williams netted on the hour - only for Santos to pop up in injury time.

QPR started well and, after Danny Shittu and Gareth Ainsworth had gone close, Cureton put the London side in front on 13 minutes.

The former Reading man showed his striking prowess by collecting the ball on the edge of the box and lashing a low shot beyond Luke Steele.

Stern John pushed Coventry on and he went close on two occasions before the break before Williams drew the home side level on the hour.

Williams climbed highest to head home from a corner, a goal their improved play merited.

Coventry failed to find a winner and they were undone late in the day as Santos acrobatically fired goalwards and the ball slipped over the line to stun Coventry.
