Charlton eased into the fourth round of the FA Cup with a 4-1 victory over Rochdale.
Goals from Bryan Hughes (2), Jon Fortune and Danny Murphy were enough to give Alan Curbishley's men a smooth passage into the next round.
Hughes, who was returning to the Charlton starting line-up, broke the deadlock on 19 minutes converting Francis Jeffers' pass.
The Premiership doubled their lead a minute before the break with Fortune getting a rare goal after Jonatan Johansson had headed the ball across the box.
Rochdale gave themselves hope soon after the break when Grant Holt pulled a goal back on 50 minutes with a fine finish.
Charlton restored their two-goal cushion five minutes later with Hughes heading home Jerome Thomas' cross for his second goal of the contest.
Danny Murphy wrapped up the win for the hosts with the fourth on 63 minutes to end Rochdale's brave resistance.
Charlton suffered a blow late on when Fortune was stretched off injured after a collision with Rochdale's Alan Goodall.
