Cox and Peacock on target against Hereford

Swindon fought back to secure a place in the area quarter-finals of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy as goals from Simon Cox and Lee Peacock saw off Hereford 2-1. Winger Matt Done put Hereford in front on the half-hour before the Robins hit back with goals in the 45th and 84th minutes. Hereford went on the attack in the early stages with Moses Ashikodi shooting wide of the Swindon post and Nick Chadwick racing through only to be denied by goalkeeper Peter Brezovan. But Brezovan gifted Hereford the lead in the 30th minute when he dropped a blistering 25-yard drive from Done over the line. Hereford continued to press and substitute Andy Williams saw his angled shot cleared off the line by defender Sean Morrison, but Swindon drew level just before the break when Cox beat Hereford goalkeeper Craig Samson with a low shot from 15 yards. Early in the second-half Billy Paynter netted for the visitors only to see his strike disallowed, but Swindon sealed their entry into the next round six minutes from time when Peacock latched onto Anthony McNamee's pass before coolly slotting home.
