Eibar finally brought their long losing streak to an end after holding fellow strugglers Granada to a goalless draw at the Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes.

Eibar had lost their last eight matches to be sucked into the relegation dogfight, but they picked up what could be a very valuable point from their trip to Andalusia.

The Basque minnows, playing in the Primera Division for the first time, move three points clear of the bottom three with the draw, while Granada remain in the bottom two.

Granada would have been targeting this match as one they really needed to win as they seek to avoid the drop, especially with a trip to Real Madrid coming up next.

However, they could find no way through despite dominating.

Ruben Perez fired wide before Adrian Colunga drew a save out of Jaime and Piti failed to turn home a Jeison Murillo cross as Granada sought a breakthrough in the opening half-hour.

Jhon Cordoba spurned another opportunity for the hosts in the run-up to half-time, and Granada continued to push hard after the break with Jaime doing well to deny Allan Nyom and Cordoba at the start of the second half

The chances continued to fall Granada's way but again they could not take advantage, with Cordoba again unable to capitalise.

Eibar threatened on occasion, and they gave Granada a scare just before the hour when Eneko Boveda brought a good save out of Oier Olazabal.

It was mainly Granada doing all the running, though, and they continued to push for what could have been a vital winning goal, only to have to settle for a point in the end.
