San Lorenzo coach Edgardo Bauza is aware of the huge challenge his players face when they take on Real Madrid in Saturday's Club World Cup final in Morocco.

The Argentinian outfit, this year's Copa Libertadores winners, edged Auckland 2-1 on Wednesday, courtesy of Mauro Matos' last-gasp winner, to set up a showdown with the European champions at Le Grand Stade de Marrakech.

Real beat Mexican outfit Cruz Azul 4-0 in the other semi-final to extend their winning run to 21 matches.

"It's an honour for us to play in this final," Bauza told the Spanish media.

"We will try to honour this competition as best we can. This is an opportunity that football has given us and it's a big responsibility.

"We know the level of difficulty that awaits us. We expect a hard and intense final.

"But we are enthusiastic to put in a good performance against Real. We want to give everything we have in order not to have any regrets

"There's no need to further motivate my players when they know they are facing Real."

Carlo Ancelotti's Real have won the Champions League, Copa del Rey and the European Super Cup this year and are hoping to cap an impressive 2014 with their first-ever Club World Cup title, having won the competition four times previously in its former guises.

"Rounding off this year, which has been a good one, with a trophy like the Club World Cup is important for us," Real Madrid president Florentino Perez said.

"We don't get complacent. We have won a lot of games in a row and everyone wants to be the first to end Real Madrid's run."

Bauza knows it will require an enormous effort from his team to halt Real's club record winning run.

"I think what Ancelotti has achieved at Madrid has a lot of merit," Bauza said. "He is one of the best coaches in the world.

"We all know how difficult it is to manage a side like Madrid. They are a team that defends well and attacks well."

The Spanish giants have scored 27 goals in their last eight matches.

Cristiano Ronaldo, who has 32 goals in 23 matches in all competitions and has won the Club World Cup before with Manchester United, will lead Real's attack hoping to score his first goal in Morocco.

Bauza is hoping to recover Paraguay midfielder Nestor Ortigoza, who is doubtful with an Achillles tendon problem.

"The team is going to be the same that started against Auckland although the only doubt is if Ortigoza will recover," he said.

"If not, (Facundo) Quignon will replace him."

Real defender Sergio Ramos is fighting against the clock to recover in time to play in the final.

The Spain international, who got on the scoresheet against Cruz Azul, is struggling with a left thigh injury.

The good news for Ancelotti is that Colombian midfielder James Rodriguez has recovered from a muscular injury and is expected to start on Saturday.
