Serie A: Napoli out to get back on track against Hellas Verona

Napoli are ready to take out their recent frustrations on Hellas Verona when the two sides meet on Sunday in Naples.

A last-gasp equaliser from Inter Milan denied Napoli a victory last weekend before the Azzurri conceded a 2-0 defeat at Young Boys in the Europa League on Thursday.

Their midweek result dropped Napoli to third in Group I but they are level on six points with leaders Young Boys and Sparta Prague after three rounds played.

"I am disappointed with the result," Benitez said. "We need to show more hunger to win.

"We must also try to kill the games off when we have the opportunity to do so, something that we have failed to do lately and we must change this approach."

Napoli have won three times in Serie A and are seventh in the standings, level on 11 points with Hellas, who are eighth.

The Verona outfit travel to the San Paolo stadium on the back of a 3-1 defeat to AC Milan last time out.

The outcome was Hellas' second loss in their last three league games.

Luca Toni is expected to lead his team's attack against Napoli.

The Italian veteran striker has failed to find the back of the net in his team's last five league games but coach Andrea Mandorlini is confident Toni will soon score.

"Toni is struggling in front of goal but he creates a lot of goalscoring opportunities," Mandorlini said. "He has to be patient because sooner or later, he will return to score."

The visitors will be without defender Rafael Marquez, who is suspended.

Napoli are without defender Miguel Angel Britos and midfielder Walter Gargano, both out injured.
