New Granada coach Abel Resino saw his side snatch a late point away to relegation rivals Deportivo La Coruna as his first match in charge ended in a 2-2 draw.

Piti had given Granada a sixth-minute lead but Depor turned the game around with two goals in the space of five minutes from Jose Rodriguez and Lucas Perez, and they seemed well set for the three points.

However, Robert Ibanez struck with seven minutes left and Depor finished the match with 10 men after Luis Farina was sent off in the closing stages.

Resino took over as coach on Monday, replacing Joaquin Caparros with the club bottom of the table, and there was immediate joy for the new boss as his side took an early lead when Piti fired in a rising shot from the edge of the area.

They continued to impress in the early stages, with Youssef El Arabi going close before Piti saw another shot go over the bar.

Depor had done little in the opening stages, with Olazabal Oier easily holding a couple of headers from Oriol Riera, but they levelled in the 33rd minute.

Riera was denied again as Oier parried, but the ball fell for Rodriguez and the on-loan Real Madrid midfielder scored on the follow-up.

Four minutes later, the turnaround was completed when Sidnei played the ball in for Perez to finish from close range.

The mood of the match had changed completely and Depor continued in the ascendency as the second half got under way.

Oier held Ivan Cavaleiro's shot from range before Juanfran, Riera and Farina missed the target with shots from outside the area.

The home fans would still have felt pretty comfortable with their side on top, but the misses would prove costly when Granada snatched a late equaliser, with Ibanez firing home from Dimitri Foulquier's header in the 83rd minute.

Things then got worse for Depor when a scuffle broke out and Farina was shown a straight red for lashing out at Fran Rico, who was booked.
