Chris Martin grabbed a hat-trick as Derby beat Notts County 3-1 in a pre-season friendly at Meadow Lane.
The League One Magpies took an early lead when a trialist crashed in a shot which flew in off the underside of the crossbar. But Martin, who hit 25 goals last season, hauled Derby level before half-time when he raced onto Johnny Russell's pass and finished low beyond home keeper Fabian Spiess. Shortly after the restart Martin tucked away the second from the penalty spot after Simon Dawkins was fouled in the area and he rifled in Jeff Hendrick's cut-back to complete his treble 14 minutes from time.
