SPFL: Partick v Inverness team news

Partick boss Alan Archibald has been rocked by the news midfielder Gary Fraser could be ruled out for up to three months.

The former Bolton youngster has been diagnosed with a stress fracture in his knee and could be kept out of action until Christmas.

Sean Welsh also remains out with a long-term groin complaint but Jordan McMillan could return from his hamstring lay-off.

Archibald said: "It doesn't come much harder than Inverness at the moment. They have started extremely well by going unbeaten and are playing some good football under John.

"You can see they are a John Hughes side by the way they are knocking the ball about. We've had an okay start to the season but the Hamilton result was the biggest disappointment.

"We've also gone to Aberdeen and lost so we need to try and turn it around. There's not a better time to do it than against the league leaders."

The early season pacesetters Inverness will be looking to continue their fine start - unbeaten in five games including a home win over champions Celtic.

John Hughes should have a near fully fit squad to choose from, with Richie Foran (knee) the only long-term absentee. 

Gary Warren, Daniel Devine and James Vincent have all returned to training during the international break. 

Billy McKay made a match-winning contribution in Hungary for the Northern Ireland national team in midweek, while young player of the month Ryan Christie has returned unscathed from Scotland U21 duty.
