Wycombe v Exeter preview

Team news for Tuesday evening's League Two clash between Wycombe Wanderers and Exeter City at Adams Park.

Wycombe will assess matchwinner Alfie Mawson ahead of the clash with Exeter. The Brentford loanee earned the Blues all three points on Saturday against Cheltenham before picking up an ankle injury that will be monitored by the club's medical staff ahead of kick-off at Adams Park. With Sido Jombati and Max Kretzschmar still sidelined Gareth Ainsworth's promotion-chasing squad is looking stretched and the Chairboys boss will hope Joe Jacobson, who limped off against the Robins before the break, will be passed fit to feature. Wycombe have lost to just six League Two sides this season and Exeter are one of them. Exeter will be boosted by the return of top scorer Tom Nichols as they look to keep their play-off dream alive. The Grecians are three points off the top seven after a 4-0 thumping at Stevenage but Nichols is likely to return to the starting line-up having served his three-match ban for a red card against Morecambe. Craig Woodman looks set to miss out having pulled a calf muscle 10 minutes before kick off against the Shrews while Tom McCready broke down in training last week and is likely to join him on the sidelines. The influential Jordan Moore-Taylor failed to recover from a hamstring strain and boss Paul Tisdale will keep his fingers crossed that the in-form defender can face the Chairboys.
