Image: James Gray: Hit a late winner

James Gray hit the late winner as Northampton came from behind to beat Luton 2-1 at Sixfields.

The first half produced little in the way of chances. Joel Byrom tested Luton keeper Elliot Justham and Mark Cullen was denied by Matt Duke as both sides struggled to create any real openings. John-Joe O'Toole forced Justham into action just before the interval and the Luton keeper denied Byrom on the stroke of half-time. But the visitors broke the deadlock within a minute of the restart when Alex Lawless beat Duke from the edge of the box. Brendon Moloney went close when he shot over and Cullen was off target at the other end before Cobblers got back on level terms in the 64th minute. Michael Harriman handled in the area and Ricky Holmes converted the ensuing spot-kick. Gray went close to putting Cobblers ahead when he was thwarted by Justham who then pulled off a fine save from Holmes moments later. Cobblers' late pressure saw Byrom foiled by Justham while Moloney had a goal-bound effort charged down. But substitute Ivan Toney missed a great chance late on when he headed wide from close range. The impressive Justham produced another decent save to keep out an effort from Lawson D'Ath but could not keep out Gray's 86th minute winner when he found the bottom corner from the edge of the box.
