Padraig Amond's late penalty denied Cheltenham a first home win under manager Paul Buckle as Morecambe earned a 1-1 draw.
The Robins took the lead with a penalty of their own after 18 minutes. Shaun Beeley shoved Lee Vaughan inside the box and Jack Dunn scored the resulting spot-kick to make it two goals in three appearances since his arrival on loan from Liverpool.
Morecambe responded well with Jack Redshaw curling a shot inches wide shortly afterwards.
Dunn nearly doubled Cheltenham's lead just before half-time when he raced onto a ball over the top and forced goalkeeper Andreas Arestidou into a block, before his follow-up was cleared off the line by Alex Kenyon.
Home keeper Trevor Carson made a fine save to keep out Paul Mullin's header from Jamie Devitt's free-kick.
Devitt had a penalty saved by Carson in the 70th minute after Craig Braham-Barrett had tripped him inside the box. He then prodded the rebound against a post.
Morecambe finally equalised with seven minutes remaining, with with Amond making no mistake with his spot-kick after Vaughan's handball.
