Brentford clinched their first three home points of the season with a pulsating 3-2 win over Brighton.

Moses Odubajo put the Londoners in front after 19 minutes after he slammed home an angled drive after latching on to an incisive Alan Judge through ball.

They doubled their lead just after the half hour when top scorer Andre Gray steered home Jake Bidwell's left wing cross from close range.

The Seagulls hit back on 39 minutes when Gordon Greer volleyed home at the far post from Danny Holla's corner which was flicked on at the near post by Lewis Dunk.

The end to end passing game tipped the Bees way once again after the break when Jonathan Douglas powered home Bidwell's left wing cross as the Brighton defence stood still.

But Sami Hyypia's side refused to lie down and ensured a nail-biting finale when Holla sidestepped his man 25 yards out and curled a beauty into the top corner past David Button's outstretched hand.

The last 20 minutes saw the tempo drop as both sides looked shattered by the incredible pace of the game early on.

Brighton started like a train, with Andrew Crofts almost capitalising on a Brentford defensive blunder to fire a sizzling drive against the upright with just three minutes gone.

Brentford then saw Gray hauled down by Dunk, but the big defender escaped with just a yellow card despite being the last man.

Brighton striker Sam Baldock should have put his side ahead on 18 minutes, but rounded Button only to see his weak effort cleared off the line by James Tarkowski.

Goals flew in after Brentford broke the deadlock, with Gray forcing a smart save from Albion keeper David Stockdale minutes later.

The pace of Odubajo terrified the visiting defence and Brentford looked like scoring every time they broke with pace.

After the break Odubajo curled a clever shot past the far post and Stockdale got down quickly to deny Alan Judge and the former Leyton Orient winger twice in as many seconds.

Alex Pritchard tested Stockdale with a dipping drive at the foot of his post as Brentford went in search of the killer goal.

But it was almost an incredible end to the flowing affair when Kazenga LuaLua skipped free of the home defence only to flash a low drive past the far post.
