Two late goals saw Toulouse come from behind to snatch a 3-2 victory over Lille and put some distance between themselves and the Ligue 1 relegation zone.

The visitors saw the opening goal from Nolan Roux wiped out by Wissam Ben Yedder on the half hour, but were able to regain the lead through Sofiane Boufal.

However, in a dramatic final 10 minutes, Oscar Trejo equalised for Toulouse before Martin Braithwaite sealed the comeback win which lifts them five points above the bottom three with two matches remaining.

Defeat for Lille ended their slim hopes of qualifying for Europe, with Rene Girard's men seven points off the top four.

Lille's early sense of adventure at the Stade Municipal paid off with the opening goal after just nine minutes. Boufal fed Benjamin Pavard on the right and he supplied the cross into the penalty area for Roux to stab home from close range.

Toulouse responded with Braithwaite drawing a save out of Victor Enyeama, while Toulouse goalkeeper Ali Ahamada was kept busy at the other end in dealing with a teasing drive from Boufal.

But it was the home side who were back on level terms after 30 minutes thanks to Ben Yedder, who made the most of a cross from Braithwaite to smash an unstoppable volley into the top right corner.

Ben Yedder thought he had another after 56 minutes when he struck the side-netting with his angled shot, and Lille capitalised on the miss by retaking the lead five minutes later.

Florent Balmont pumped a ball into the box which was met at the far post by a low header from Boufal.

However, Toulouse were not to be outdone and turned the match on its head within three minutes as the clock ticked down.

First, Aleksandar Pesic picked out Trejo for a low right-footed drive to beat Enyeama which brought the scores level. The victory was sealed seven minutes from time by Braithwaite, who ran on to a pass from Etienne Didot and raced through the Lille defence before finishing into the bottom right corner.
