Rennes extended their unbeaten record at home to six games as Anders Konradsen's last-minute goal earned the Brittany side a 2-1 victory over Nice at the Stade de la Route de Lorient.

Sanjin Prcic appeared to have rescued a point for Rennes when his early second-half goal cancelled out Eric Bautheac's first-half opener, but Konradsen popped up at the death to earn a third win in four games for Philippe Montanier's side.

Ninth-placed Rennes remain on course to secure a top-half finish as they are five points clear of 10th-spotted Nantes with four games left.

Nice have lost six of their last nine Ligue 1 games and, although they are 12th, they are just four points clear of the bottom three.

Claude Puel's side started brightly and Carlos Eduardo stung the palms of Benoit Costil in the third minute with a fierce low shot that the Rennes keeper did well the repel.

But Costil was beaten in the 20th minute when Alassane Plea dispossessed Cheikh M'Bengue and sent a probing ball across the face of goal that found Bautheac at the far post for a simple tap-in.

Plea could have doubled Nice's advantage shortly before half-time but his low shot was saved by Costil.

Rennes were level two minutes after the restart when Prcic diverted a Kamil Grosicki cross beyond Nice goalkeeper Simon Pouplin and into the net.

Grosicki fired narrowly wide on the hour mark but Rennes did eventually secure a come-from-behind victory with seconds remaining when Konradsen lobbed substitute keeper Joris Delle after Nice repeatedly failed to clear the ball.
