Evian were left one place above the Ligue 1 relegation zone after a 1-1 draw at Guingamp.

The visitors trailed to Claudio Beavue's goal just before half-time but equalised five minutes after the interval through Nicolas Blandi.

Defeats for Bastia and Lorient prevented either of them pulling clear of Pascal Dupraz's side, though Lorient's conquerors Toulouse vaulted out of the relegation zone and above all three into 15th.

Evian goalkeeper Benjamin Leroy saved Christophe Mandanne's early drive while at the other end, Youssouf Sabaly's long-range strike skimmed the frame of the goal.

Beauvue headed Thibault Giresse's cross just wide but made the breakthrough with another header from Jeremy Pied's corner.

Mandanne nodded another excellent Pied cross wide from close range shortly after the restart and it proved costly as Evian quickly levelled.

Adrien Thomasson strode forward from midfield and his right-footed shot from 25 yards was parried by Jonas Lossl - straight to Blandi, who tapped in.

Pied shot just wide after being teed up by Lionel Mathis as 12th-placed Guingamp sought to immediately restore their lead, and when good work by Mandanne set up Giresse his low drive was superbly saved by Leroy.

Mandanne went close with a header from Giresse's cross, Leroy equal to it once more.

And Guingamp's last chance slipped away when first Sylvain Marveaux's effort was blocked and then Mandanne fired in a shot from a narrow angle which Leroy saved in the bottom corner.
