Paris St Germain pulled further clear at the top of the Ligue 1 table with a 1-0 victory over Nice on Friday night, although they needed a slice of luck to help them at the Allianz Riviera.

Laurent Blanc's men created a number of chances, but in the end it was an own goal from Timothee Kolodziejczak which earned a seventh consecutive victory and a 13-point advantage over Monaco.

Blanc was looking for a good performance from his side ahead of next week's Champions League quarter-final against Chelsea, and they threatened after seven minutes with a terrific 25-yard strike from Yohan Cabaye which was a fraction too high.

Ezequiel Lavezzi also came close after 20 minutes, running on to a ball from Zlatan Ibrahimovic but firing inches wide.

Nice responded well and Didier Digard's curling right-footed strike was blocked by goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu, who then came to the rescue again on the half-hour to deny Valentin Eysseric after the midfielder had outwitted Thiago Silva.

Eysseric then released team-mate Mathieu Bodmer, who also found a way through the PSG defence but Sirigu was again equal to the shot.

Nice goalkeeper David Ospina was also put the test as the half drew to a close, first palming away a powerful strike from Edinson Cavani before producing an even better save to keep out an Ibrahimovic volley which appeared to be on course for the bottom right corner.

Ospina was eventually beaten seven minutes after the interval though, and by his own player. Javier Pastore provided a cross for Ibrahimovic to head on to Cavani, whose effort struck Kolodziejczak before nestling in the net.

There was no respite for the Nice back-line, who then had to deal with a 25-yard bullet from Ibrahimovic, which was turned away for a corner.

And after 73 minutes, Ospina's poor clearance from an Ibrahimovic strike fell kindly for Lucas Digne to fire in a rebound shot which was only kept out by Bodmer on the line.

Nice had done well to keep it to the odd goal, and even managed to give PSG a scare seven minutes from time with a testing free-kick from Eric Bautheac which was once again fisted away by Sirigu.
