Switzerland striker Josip Drmic admits his team badly need goals in San Marino on Tuesday night in order to get their European Championships qualification campaign up and running.
The Swiss languish alongside their hosts on no points from their first two Group E games after following an opening defeat to England with a 1-0 loss in Slovenia on Thursday night.
Vladimir Petkovic's men performed well in Maribor but failed to convert their chances and Drmic knows there will be no excuses against the group minnows in Serravalle.
Drmic said: "We have to score goals. We just have to play as well as we did in Slovenia, which brought us nothing, and get goals and points.''
Petkovic is expected to be without captain Gokhan Inler, who was forced off towards the end of the loss in Maribor with muscular problems.
And the Swiss are also definitely without defender Philippe Senderos, who was also forced off injured midway through the second half on Tuesday.
Senderos has returned to his club Aston Villa for treatment and Petkovic has not taken the option of calling up a replacement to his squad.
