Lyon battled back from a goal down to run out 3-1 winners at Bastia in Ligue 1 on Sunday afternoon. Florian Raspentino gave the hosts the lead in the 34th minute but Lyon hit back after the break thanks to goals by Alexandre Lacazette, Yassine Benzia and Bafetimbi Gomis. The Corsicans showed intent early on and went close to opening the score inside 10 minutes when N'Dri Romaric released Raspentino in behind Lyon defender Samuel Umtiti but his effort was pushed away by Remy Vercoutre. The hosts continued to do all the pressing in the early stages and, following some good pressure from Ryad Boudebouz, Bakary Kone gifted possession to Milos Krasic but the Serbian could only drag his effort wide. In a rare early Lyon attack, Benzia got behind the defence after Lacazette picked him out but the youngster's attempt ended up the wrong side of the post. But it was Bastia who made their early dominance pay when they broke the deadlock with 34 minutes on the clock. Julian Palmieri did well on the left before delivering a pinpoint cross for Raspentino to volley beyond Vercoutre at the back post. Lyon appeared reinvigorated after the break and hit back in devastating fashion to take the lead inside 10 minutes of the restart. First Lacazette benefited from some poor defending by Sebastian Squillaci and Gilles Cioni which left the young striker with just Mickael Landreau to beat and he made no mistake with an emphatic finish. Then two minutes later Clement Grenier got the better of Palmieri before picking out Benzia perfectly at the back post and he did the rest with a confident header. Les Gones wrapped up the points with just five minutes to play in some style when Gomis added a third. Grenier and Henri Bedimo combined well down the left before the latter dragged the ball back into the path of the reported Newcastle target who dispatched a thunderous effort beyond the helpless Landreau with the aid of the crossbar. A miserable second half was compounded for the hosts when Yannick Cahuzac was shown a second yellow card late on for a foul on Gueida Fofana.
