Team news for Tuesday's Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash between Newport County and Porstmouth at Rodney Parade.

Newport's preparations for their Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash with Portsmouth have suffered a blow with striker Chris Zebroski sidelined. The former Torquay forward suffered a dislocated kneecap in the 1-1 draw with Braintree on Saturday and he becomes the latest player on an ever-growing injury list. Fellow striker Aaron O'Connor's groin surgery has ruled him out until the new year along with Byron Anthony who suffered a broken leg back in August. Lee Minshull, Adedeji Oshilaja, Andrew Hughes, Andy Sandell and Max Porter are also currently missing. Robbie Willmott is available again having served his one-match ban for a red card in the 4-1 loss to Fleetwood. Portsmouth will be without Gavin Mahon and Jed Wallace through suspension when they head to Newport in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy. Mahon starts a three-match ban after he was sent off during Saturday's 2-1 FA Cup defeat at Stevenage and fellow midfielder Wallace sits out one game after collecting a fifth booking of the season. Simon Ferry was absent at the weekend to rest a tight hamstring so he could return in midfield if he is passed fit. Loan striker John Marquis is available again after he was denied permission to play in the FA Cup by parent club Millwall.
