Kris Commons celebrates his early strike on Sunday
Kris Commons scored the only goal as Celtic moved 21 points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership table with a 1-0 victory over St Mirren.
The decisive strike came as early as the sixth minute when the prolific goal-scoring midfielder fired home with his left foot from 25 yards after collecting Emilio Izaguirre's assist.
Although the hosts dominated most of the match - especially before the break - they were unable to add any further goals.
Anthony Stokes was particularly wasteful, while James Forest also had chances and Scott Brown missed a glorious opportunity from 12 yards - side-footing the ball over the bar.
Gregg Wylde came closest for Saints during the opening 45 minutes - when his 14-yard effort was saved by Fraser Forster - while Josh Magennis had the visitors' best chance after the break.
Amido Balde had a chance seven minutes from time to extend Celtic's lead and Stokes took the wrong option in the closing moments when he should have squared the ball to Charlie Mulgrew instead of desperately trying to make the scoresheet himself.
And it was a milestone day for Celtic goalkeeper Forster who broke the club's 92-year-old record by making it 11 straight clean sheets.
Scotland's league leaders have not conceded a goal since November 23 while scoring 29 times themselves.
