Paris St Germain moved to the top of Ligue 1 following their victory over Bordeaux at the Stade Chaban-Delmas. Blaise Matuidi bundled the defending champions ahead on the half-hour mark before Lucas Moura sealed the win in the 64th minute. The result lifted PSG one point above Monaco, who play Lorient on Sunday. There was little action of note in the first half until Matuidi broke the deadlock in the 30th minute. Zlatan Ibrahimovic played in the midfielder, who pulled the trigger from close range. Bordeaux goalkeeper Cedric Carrasso went down to block the ball but it slipped underneath him, with Matuidi winning the race to stab home the loose ball. Bordeaux went close just before the half-time whistle when Diego Rolan teed up Ludovic Obraniak on the edge of the box. He took his time to shoot but PSG goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu was up to the test and saved at full stretch before gathering the loose ball. PSG almost doubled their lead in the 58th minute when Matuidi freed Ibrahimovic in midfield near the box, but the Sweden international saw his powerful effort saved by Carrasso. However, six minutes later the Bordeaux keeper was beaten by Moura. Marco Verratti passed the ball to the midfielder, who beat the offside trap and, with Carrasso expecting him to square it to the unmarked Ibrahimovic, Moura rolled the ball calmly past the wrong-footed keeper. Lucas almost set up Ibrahimovic for the third goal with 20 minutes on the clock, but the striker was denied by a reflex save by Carrasso. Ibrahimovic tried again five minutes later with a clever lob, but again Carrasso kept the ball out. Despite the goalkeeper's efforts, it was not enough to stop PSG claiming their third win of the campaign to move them into top spot, albeit potentially only overnight.
