Image: Jamal Campbell-Ryce: An injury doubt

Team news for Tuesday's Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash between Notts County and Burton Albion at Meadow Lane.

The Magpies are assessing Jamal Campbell-Ryce ahead of the first round of the Football League Trophy. An injury forced Campbell-Ryce to be substituted after just 25 minutes of the home league defeat to Rotherham at the weekend and the winger is a doubt for Tuesday night's first-round tie. He joins striker Danny Haynes and Enoch Showunmi (back) as possible absentees. However, left-back Alan Sheehan could come back into the reckoning after a hamstring problem. Manager Chris Kiwomya has options should he wish to make some changes, with the likes of Manny Smith, Adam Coombes, Fabian Spiess and Andre Boucaud among those players available for recalls. Burton boss Gary Rowett could make changes for his side's Johnstone's Paint Trophy trip to Notts County. Rowett made four changes for the league win at Accrington on Saturday. Rory Delap (hip) and Adam McGurk (knee) passed late fitness tests and came in for Phil Edwards and Jack Dyer respectively. Michael Symes and Adam Reed replaced Robbie Weir and Matty Palmer, who played 120 minutes on his first senior start against Fulham in the Capital One Cup. Edwards, Dyer, Weir and Palmer could be restored to the starting line-up at Meadow Lane, while Dominic Knowles is an option for Rowett and on-loan Derby goalkeeper Mats Morch might be handed his debut. One player unlikely to be involved is Jimmy Phillips after the midfielder was taken to hospital on Saturday following a clash of heads at Accrington.
