Claudio Pizarro's stoppage-time winner earned Bayern Munich three points on the last day of the season as they were presented with the league championship.

The Peruvian veteran's contract expires in Munich this summer and if he leaves, he bowed out on a high with a close-range finish to dispatch Stuttgart 1-0.

With the championship party the main attraction for the sell-out crowd, Bayern emerged in their new-look red-and-blue kits, akin to Barcelona, the former club of manager Pep Guardiola.

In a bright start for Bayern, Thomas Muller squandered a guilt-edge chance from inside the six-yard box in the opening 20 seconds.

Chances were limited for Guardiola's side who went through the gears against a laid-back Stuttgart, safe for next season.

Mario Mandzukic was blocked by Sven Ulreich in the 24th minute and the Croatian was unable to execute an overhead kick 10 minutes later.

The one major point of concern for the Bavarians was Bastian Schweinsteiger's knock that saw him go off in the first-half.

Stuttgart themselves never looked likely to score, although, the departing Cacau forced a fine save from Manuel Neuer midway through the second half.

But in the end, Pizarro popped up to extend his lead as the highest-scoring foreign player in Bundesliga history on 175 goals, and as he tops the all-time Bayern scorers list from overseas with 123.

Guardiola's season will be defined, however, by next week when he travels to Berlin to lead his side out to face Borussia Dortmund in the DFB Pokal final. With the title long since won and the Champions League a disappointment, all eyes are on Bayern to see if they can record a domestic double.
