Paris Saint-Germain extended their lead at the top of Ligue 1 to 11 points with a confident 3-0 win in Bastia. An obligatory Zlatan Ibrahimovic strike set Laurent Blanc's team on their way inside six minutes before Ezequiel Lavezzi added a brace either side of half-time to edge ever closer to a second league title in as many years. The current champions almost made an instant impact when Lavezzi benefited from a Francois Modesto error to tee up Lucas Moura but, after beating Jean-Louis Leca with his strike, Modesto got back to hack clear and save his own blushes. That only served as a warning though and PSG took the lead when Moura picked out Ibrahimovic inside the area and he needed no second invitation to powerfully head beyond Leca after just six minutes. It was not long before the visitors had Bastia on the ropes once more and their single goal lead was soon doubled in stunning style. Ibrahimovic was involved once again and his nonchalant flick from a deep ball released Lavezzi and the Argentinian did the rest with a smart finish that left Leca no chance. Content with their 2-0 goal lead, PSG never managed to get out of second gear for the remainder of the half as Bastia huffed and puffed but failed to trouble their superior visitors. Blanc's men thought they had grabbed a third when Alex met a corner with a powerful header that beat Leca under his crossbar but referee Benoit Bastien ruled out his effort after pulling up Thiago Motta for a foul. Former Newcastle man Yohan Cabaye was introduced midway through the second-half and he almost made it three with a dipping half-volley that had Leca scrambling across his goal as PSG continued to dominate. The visitors' efforts did pay off late on, though, when Ibrahimovic rose highest to nod the ball into Lavezzi's path and PSG's number 22 finished confidently after skilfully beating Leca for his second of the game.
